Training more than a term at a time? Seasonal and yearly memberships work out below the month-to-month rate. Compare memberships →
Every session begins with footwork and movement — balance, distance, speed and control. Athletes are built from the ground up, regardless of experience level.
Bladework, timing, decision-making under pressure and defensive technique, drilled until they hold up when a bout gets close.
From local club tournaments to national-level events, athletes are prepared to compete with confidence — structured sparring with real coaching feedback.
Class times, the term calendar and scheduled closures are all on the schedule page.
Group Classes
Group classes are the core of the club. You train alongside fencers of similar skill in a structured, high-energy environment built for real progress, on a fixed weekly schedule — the same group, the same time, building on the week before.
Every session works footwork, bladework, tactical awareness and conditioning under expert coaching. How often you train is up to you: once, twice or three times a week, or a drop-in when it suits you.

Private Lessons
One-on-one sessions with Coach Luis.
A private lesson is not free sparring. Each session is structured to isolate one or two specific skills and improve them with the coach's undivided attention, in a 30- or 60-minute block scheduled around you. It suits every level — building foundations, breaking a habit, or sharpening for a competition.
Training regularly? A Yearly Athlete membership includes private lessons at $45 or $40 each against the $50 standard rate — the main reason to take one on. See yearly memberships →
Each lesson runs the same sequence, scaled to your level.
- Warm-up & movement assessment
- 1–2 technical focus areas
- Corrective drills with real-time feedback
- Situational repetitions
- Takeaway lessons for solo practice
VIP Sessions
This is not a technique session. This is a pressure test. Train at full intensity and find out exactly where you stand.
A VIP session is one-on-one with Coach Luis at match pace: full-intensity sparring with real tactical feedback, built to simulate the pressure of high-level competition. It is meant for advanced and rising athletes — everyone else is better served by a private lesson first.
“Book your VIP Session and experience elite fencing up close and personal. Not for the faint of heart.”

Kids Classes
Valour's kids program introduces young athletes ages 8–13 to fencing in a fun, safe and supportive environment. We build footwork, coordination, discipline, focus and confidence through movement and games rather than drills alone.
Classes run Saturdays, 3:00 – 4:00 PM, and are capped at ten students so every child gets the coach's attention. No gear is needed to start — equipment is included on rental — and no one needs to have held a blade before.
Advance, retreat, lunge — the foundation of every fencer.
Hand-eye coordination and body control through fun drills.
Structure, focus and respect — inside and outside the gym.
Facing challenges and overcoming them builds real self-belief.
An introduction to parries, attacks and basic tactics.
Win and lose with integrity. Fencing builds character.
School Programs
Valour offers custom fencing programs designed for schools at all experience levels. We come to you with equipment, curriculum and an experienced coach.
Programs are built around your school's schedule, group sizes and age ranges, from a single workshop through to a semester-long block, and no student needs prior experience or gear of their own. We handle equipment, safety protocols and curriculum — you open the gym.
